Rescue Support
Have a pet rescue that needs help with food and supplies?
San Diego Humane Society has partnered with GOODS, a program of Greater Good Charities to become their San Diego regional ambassador, sharing resources with animal welfare agencies across southern California. Thanks to this partnership, we are able to bring more low-cost pet food, litter, and other pet supplies to the area, allowing rescues and pantries to stretch their dollars further and impact even more pets and people. Food and supplies are donated by the truckload from gracious donors, however, the cost to get those goods shipped to our facility is not. We recover those costs with a small handling fee that we extend to our partner organizations.
To participate, organizations must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a 501(c)3 organization in good standing or a municipal/county shelter.
- Provide a website including the organization’s mission (Facebook is not sufficient).
- Have a profile on Guidestar.
- If a shelter, rescue or sanctuary: Must list adoptable pets online and spay/neuter all animals prior to adoption.
- If a sanctuary: Agree to a site visit.
