If you're looking for one-on-one support with your dog or cat's behavior, you can schedule either an in-person (dogs only) session at our San Diego Campus or an online Zoom session (dogs or cats) with one of our expert trainers. Our trainers will refer out to trusted experts for cases of aggression directed towards humans, aggression with intent-to-harm directed towards other animals, resource guarding and separation anxiety.
Private lessons are currently available by request and are $100/ hour long session. Please email us at behavior@sdhumane.org with a detailed description of what you would like to work on, any current methods/training tools you're currently using and any relevant professional training you've done with your pet. One of our trainers will be in touch with you within 7-10 days.
We are now offering private service dog assessments and training. Initial assessments are $175 and are up to 1.5 hours and are required prior to registering for Service Dog Training sessions ($150 / hour). To learn more about the skills our team can train, click
here. Session times are listed at time "TBD" and actual session dates and times will be determined following registration to better accommodate scheduling needs. You trainer will reach out to you ASAP following your registration.
