Introducing Small Pets
Small pets can be wonderful additions to your family and tend to thrive when they have companions! This guide will teach you how to carefully introduce a new friend to your pet without causing them stress.
Rat Care
High-quality rodent chow (called rat blocks) should be the main food source. Avoid rat foods with artificial coloring or corn products. Seed and grain mixtures can be used to supplement the rat block diet.
Rabbit Care
An indoor 4×4 ft. exercise pen is recommended. Most cages and hutches sold in pet stores do not meet the recommended size.
Hamster Care
High-quality rodent chow (rat blocks) should always be available to your hamster. Supplement this with hamster mix — made up of pellets, grains, seeds and dried veggies.
