Fox Squirrels
We thought it might be time to go a little WILD, so here's a special treat for you! Three baby fox squirrels that were brought to our Wildlife Center after a tree trimmer discovered them. Although they certainly had a rough start, they are doing well and we will be sharing their journey with you as they continue to grow squirrelier and squirrelier! Now then, sit back, relax and soak in some cuteness! Visit ReadySetGrow for more cuteness.
It's time for happy tears, friends! After weeks and weeks in our care, just like that, our squirrely siblings are back home where they belong! 😭💕
Look who's graduated to a more appropriately wild outdoor space! Won't be long now until our squirrel friends will be released!
Ahh me, it seems like only yesterday our three squirrel friends were just babies, and now look at them! Quite a squirrel-wind of a transformation wouldn't you say?? I mean, these squirrels have gone wild! ...Sorry, I'll stop. ;)
The baby fox squirrels are growing up and showing us their adorable personalities! Which of these little ones do you most relate to in the morning? The first cutie, who is snoozing belly up, not a care in the world and dreaming of acorns aplenty? The second squirrelly girly who's up and at 'em and can't understand why her siblings are soooo lazy? Or the third little guy, snuggled up under a blanket and trying desperately to ignore the alarm clock after hitting the snooze button 5 times already?
Look whose eyes have opened! It's only been a week since we first introduced our fox squirrel friends to you and it appears that they are officially entering the toddler stage of their journey with us – just look how squirrely they're becoming! These three cuties still have quite a lot of growing up to do in our Bahde Wildlife Center before we can release them back into the wild, but they are well on their way! Stay tuned for a new update next week!
Does it get any cuter than these 3 fox squirrels? Two girls and a boy, this darling trio still has their eyes closed. :)
But for being so small, they have pretty mighty appetites!
And they are already starting to earn their name and act... well, SQUIRRELY!
