We're WILD About Wildlife!

We're dedicating this month to celebrating the wonderful wild animals who share our home. Throughout July, we’re excited to highlight the lifesaving work of our Project Wildlife program and the important role that San Diego Humane Society plays in preserving the incredible biodiversity of our region.

For more than 50 years, Project Wildlife has rescued and rehabilitated injured, sick or orphaned wild animals in San Diego. What started as a backyard, volunteer-led effort has transformed into one of the largest, most impactful wildlife rehabilitation programs in the country — featuring two dedicated facilities, nationally leading standards of care and a team of wildlife medical experts and rehabilitation specialists.

At our Pilar & Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center and our Ramona Wildlife Center, wildlife of all shapes and sizes receive a second chance to thrive — from songbirds and skunks to bears and bobcats.

This month, we invite you to follow along on social media as we delve into the world of wildlife rehabilitation and share daily content you won’t want to miss, from extraordinary stories of rescue and resilience to fascinating facts about local wildlife.
