Our online orientation video helped SDHS grow from 950 foster volunteers to 1,400 and save staff time from holding in-person orientations. You may want to create your own video specific to your organization and practices.

Wordpress and other content management software (CMS) make it easier than ever to start of a website and maintain a blog to communicate with your foster volunteers.
Shared Email Account
SDHS has a shared foster email address, which is monitored by multiple staff members during normal business hours, and then an "Out of Office Response" is turned on after hours and provides an emergency phone number. The Foster Team rotates the responsibility of being "on-call."
