We are here to help you with your pets behavior and training needs! Please note, these helplines are NOT for emergency situations. If it is a medical or health concern, please contact a veterinarian. If you are fearful for the safety of a person or pet, please contact Humane Law Enforcement. We aim to respond within 7 days, but responses may take up to 2 weeks. Thank you for your patience! Please note, email responses sent by members of our training team will come from an @sdhumane.org email address. If you are expecting a reply and it has been 10+ days since you contacted us, please check your spam folders!
For San Diego Humane Society Adopters
All adoptions come with a one (1) hour troubleshooting consultation called a Post Adoption Consultation. If you have not used this service, please start by filling out this form. All consults are virtual — either over Zoom (can be recorded for later reference) or over the phone. If you have already had your consult, please use any of the other helplines offered below. Please identify yourself as an SDHS adopter- this will more easily help us track previous communications.

For behavior questions, please contact our Behavior Helpline either by:
- Filling out our Ask a Trainer form (preferred)
- Emailing [email protected] (please include as much detail as possible so we can respond to you more efficiently!)
