Join Our Medical Team
We’re looking for skilled and compassionate veterinary professionals to join one of the largest and most innovative animal welfare organizations in the country. Whether you’re treating injured wildlife, providing lifesaving shelter medicine or supporting families through accessible veterinary care, you’ll be part of a team that’s reimagining what’s possible for veterinary medicine and community health.

Amazing Work Environment
San Diego Humane Society’s Veterinary Services spans three dynamic areas of care:
- Shelter Medicine: Across our campus hospitals, including the Pilar & Chuck Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine, we care for thousands of shelter pets and serve as a national teaching hospital for future veterinarians.
- Community Veterinary Program: We provide low-cost veterinary care to pets through a clinic at our San Diego Campus as well as quarterly mobile clinics —helping families access the support they need to stay together.
- Project Wildlife: Through our Pilar & Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center and Ramona Wildlife Center, we admit more than 10,000 injured, orphaned or ill wild animals each year and provide innovative medicine to rescue, rehabilitate and release native species.
